Refund & Returns Policy
At Vroom Leasing, we strive to provide a seamless and satisfactory motorcycle rental experience. Please read our Refund and Returns Policy carefully to understand our procedures regarding cancellations, modifications, and refunds.
1. Definitions
- Rental Agreement: The legally binding contract entered into between Vroom Leasing and the Renter for the rental of a motorcycle.
- Renter: The individual or entity renting the motorcycle from Vroom Leasing.
- Rental Period: The agreed-upon duration for which the motorcycle is rented, as specified in the Rental Agreement.
- Security Deposit: The pre-authorized or charged amount held by Vroom Leasing to cover potential damages, late return fees, or other charges as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- Refund: The reimbursement of a previously paid amount by Vroom Leasing to the Renter.
2. Booking Cancellations and Amendments
Cancellations by the Renter
Cancellations made more than 72 hours prior to the scheduled pick-up time may be eligible for a full refund of the rental fee, less any non-refundable booking fees (if applicable), subject to an administrative charge of 5% of the rental fee.
Cancellations made between 24 and 72 hours prior to the scheduled pick-up time may be eligible for a 50% refund of the rental fee, less any non-refundable booking fees.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled pick-up time or no-shows will not be eligible for a refund of the rental fee.
The full rental fee will be forfeited.
Amendments by the Renter
Requests to amend the booking (e.g., change dates, motorcycle type, or duration) are subject to availability and may incur additional charges based on the prevailing rates at the time of amendment.
Amendments made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled pick-up time may not be accommodated.
Cancellations or Amendments by Vroom Leasing
In the unlikely event that Vroom Leasing needs to cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., motorcycle unavailability due to maintenance issues or prior damage), the Renter will be offered a full refund of the rental fee or an alternative motorcycle of similar or higher value, subject to availability and the Renter’s agreement.
If an alternative motorcycle of higher value is accepted, the Renter will not be charged the difference.
Vroom Leasing reserves the right to amend booking details due to unforeseen circumstances, providing reasonable notice to the Renter whenever possible.
3. Refunds
Refund Processing
Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 7 business days from the date of cancellation or the resolution of the relevant issue.
The refund will be issued using the same payment method used for the original booking, unless otherwise agreed upon.
The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
Circumstances for Potential Refunds (Subject to Review)
Mechanical Issues
If the rented motorcycle experiences a significant mechanical issue not caused by the Renter’s negligence during the rental period, and Vroom Leasing is unable to provide a suitable replacement within a reasonable timeframe, a partial refund for the unused portion of the rental period may be considered.
Unforeseen Circumstances
In exceptional and unforeseen circumstances that prevent the Renter from utilizing the rental (subject to providing sufficient evidence and at the discretion of Vroom Leasing), a partial refund or credit for future rental may be considered.
No Refund Will Be Provided For
- Early return of the motorcycle.
- Traffic violations or fines incurred during the rental period.
- Minor inconveniences or issues that do not significantly impact the usability of the motorcycle.
- Weather conditions.
4. Returns
Motorcycle Condition Upon Return
The Renter is responsible for returning the motorcycle in the same condition it was received, fair wear and tear excepted.
Any damage to the motorcycle beyond normal wear and tear will be assessed, and the cost of repair will be deducted from the security deposit or charged to the Renter if the security deposit is insufficient.
Late Returns
Late returns without prior notification will incur additional charges as specified in the Rental Agreement. These charges will be calculated based on the prevailing daily rental rate and may include a penalty fee.
Fuel Policy
Unless otherwise specified in the Rental Agreement, the Renter is responsible for returning the motorcycle with the same fuel level as when it was picked up. If the motorcycle is returned with less fuel, a refueling fee plus the cost of the fuel will be charged.
Cleaning Fees
If the motorcycle is returned excessively dirty, requiring more than a standard cleaning, a cleaning fee may be charged.
5. Security Deposit
The security deposit will be refunded to the Renter within 7 business days after the motorcycle has been returned and inspected, provided there are no outstanding charges for damage, late return, traffic violations, or other fees as per the Rental Agreement.
The refund of the security deposit will be processed using the same payment method used for the initial deposit.
6. Disputes
Any disputes regarding refunds or charges must be submitted in writing to Vroom Leasing within 7 days of the return date.
Vroom Leasing will review the dispute and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
7. Governing Law
This Refund and Returns Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
